Macquarie Legal Centre (MLC) is a Community Legal Centre based in Parramatta in Sydney's west.

We provide free legal advice and assistance to those who can't afford private representation and who live within our geographical area.

How do we operate?

Who can access Macquarie Legal Centre's services?

We provide free legal services to people that are elegible:

  • You are a low income earner.
  • You live within our geographical area.
  • You need assistance in the areas of law that we provide advice.

How do we operate?

Macquarie Legal Centre provides assistance in the following formats:

  • Telephone Legal Advice

During our telephone sessions you can speak to one of our volunteers about your legal matter and a a solicitor will contact you with legal advice.

Telephone advice operates on

Mondays and Thursdays between 2.00 pm and 4.30 pm

  • Legal Advice Appointments

You can make an appointment to come to our office and see a solicitor to obtain legal advice on various legal matters.

  • Legal Information and Referrals

We can give you information about legal and non legal services in your local area or refer you to other services. We can also send you factsheets and other legal resources to help you understand your legal problem.
